PCS Company’s Moldshield can protect molded parts from damage and contamination during production.
Injection molders with cleanroom operations or those who are looking for ways to contain molded parts during production can utilize the new Moldshield product from PCS Company. The company says Moldshields act like a curtain that helps contain molded parts once they are ejected from the mold. This protect the parts from damage and prevents floor contamination. Frp Molding
The clear plastic sheets use magnets and mounting hardware to attach to the molds. Their transparency allows molding techs to observe the molding area and monitor parts in production. During mold changes and maintenance, the Moldshield can be quickly detached and reattached as needed.
Made of heavy-gauge, chemical-resistant film, Moldshields are sold in pairs — one for each side of the mold. As the mold actuates, Moldshield expands and retracts with it, keeping parts secure within the molding machine drop zone and safe from damage or contamination.
Moldshields can withstand operating temperatures of up to 250F. Standard lengths, ranging from 8 up to 47 in., are available. For larger applications, multiple Moldshields can be used.
