Storage Tank Systems Guidance and Information | Florida Department of Environmental Protection

Regulated storage tank systems, such as those containing motor fuel, are required to be registered with DEP. The department routinely discovers such systems, especially aboveground systems, that are in-service and not registered. The department is undertaking an outreach initiative to provide basic information to motor fuel suppliers to ensure all regulated systems are properly registered. Hurricane Preparedness Checklist for Petroleum Storage Tank Facilities Hurricane season begins June 1st. This is a suggested checklist prepared by DEP and Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for retail petroleum facilities to aid in the preparation of your facility before, during, and after tropical storms and hurricanes.

This video is provided to instruct Owners/Operators on what is expected on a routine inspection of an Underground Storage Tank or UST and the proper documentation required from the Owner/Operator at the time of the inspection.
